Disclaimer: not 100% Paleo

To say one consumes 100% Paleo diet means they do not eat anything deriving from:

  • dairy (that includes cheese (sad face))
  • grains
  • legumes
  • nightshade vegetables
  • eggs
  • refined and processed sugars
  • nuts
  • seeds
  • coffee (Juliet is having coffee and everyone that lives/works with her is happy that she does)
  • chocolate
  • pseudo grains
  • refined and/or processed oils

Recipes within Paleo and Juliet are not 100% Paleo, 100% of the time. Our interest and attempt at Paleo was driven by my very sick husband several years ago. Since then (and much research/experiments later), we have added back things that do not wreak havoc with his digestive system. Paleo IS a very healthy way to eat, especially if you have digestive issues, an auto immune disorder or other health concerns. It simply jumpstarts the healing process; it just doesn’t happen over night.

So if your goal is to go 100% Paleo, do your research and know what ingredients you need to eliminate. Many non-Paleo ingredients are not make-it/break-it ingredients and recipes will work fine without them.
